ATM Withdrawal Charges to Increase from May 1: RBI Raises Transaction Fees
Starting May 1, 2025, customers using ATM banking services will have to pay more per transaction beyond their free limits. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that the fee for ATM transactions will increase from ₹21 to ₹23 per transaction. New ATM Transaction Limits & Charges Free Transactions at Own Bank’s ATMs: – Customers will continue to get five free transactions (financial & non-financial) per month. Free Transactions at Other Banks` ATMs: – Metro cities: Three free transactions per month. – Non-metro areas: Five free transactions per month. Charges Beyond Free Limit: – Any additional transaction will now cost ₹23 per withdrawal. Banks and ATM Revenue The Central Government has revealed that while the State Bank of India (SBI) is earning significant revenue from ATM transactions, several public sector banks (PSBs) are facing financial difficulties due to ATM operational costs. Impact on Customers With higher ATM fees and limited free transactions, customers might shift towards digital payment methods like UPI and mobile wallets, reducing their dependency on cash withdrawals. The price of 22-carat gold jewelry in Chennai saw a significant surge today, rising by ₹840 per sovereign, bringing the price to ₹66,720 per sovereign and ₹8,340 per gram. At the start of the week, on Monday (March 24), gold prices had dropped by ₹120 per sovereign, selling at ₹65,720. The decline continued on Tuesday (March 25), with a further drop of ₹240 per sovereign, bringing the price to ₹65,480. However, the trend reversed on March 26, as prices increased by ₹80 per sovereign to ₹65,560. On March 27, gold prices saw a further rise of ₹320 per sovereign, reaching ₹65,880. Today’s steep increase of ₹840 per sovereign has taken the price to an all-time high of ₹66,720 per sovereign, leaving jewelers and buyers in shock. The price of gold has seen a sharp rise, reflecting fluctuations in the global market. A kilo of silver is priced at Rs. 114,000.00 and a gram is worth Rs. 114.00.

Reasons for feeling bloated even after eating home cooked foods?
Have you ever felt bloated after eating home cooked food?. If yes, then have you ever thought about the reasons for that issue? It is believed that eating home cooked food is the best way to maintain a healthy diet but sometimes we feel bloated. What is a bloated feeling? A tight feeling in the abdomen is bloating and it is a common digestion based problem. Not only processed foods from outside can lead to a bloated feel in us, even home cooked food too. It might be due to certain ingredients or due to portion sizes etc. Various important reasons of feeling bloated even after eating home cooked food are Overuse of spices etc: It is known that many types of spices are used in preparing Indian dishes. Truth is that spices like turmeric, cucurmin and ginger etc would help in digestion whereas spices would irritate our gut lining and lead to gas formation. When we consume red chilly based foods, then it would cause irritation to the stomach lining and produce acid reflux and bloating etc. Even garlic and onion that are usually good for our health would be difficult to digest for some people. It might cause a bloated feel in them. This could be overcome by avoiding excess chillies and instead we could use more mint, coriander and cumin etc. Intake of high sodium meals: By eating high sodium or salt based foods, we could get puffiness due to water retention. Eating food very fast: When we eat the food fast without proper chewing, we would swallow more air. This could result in bloating also. Bloating can also occur in us if we eat food by lying down or eating a large meal in the night etc. To reduce swallowed air, it is necessary to chew the food properly. It is necessary to avoid heavy meals at night. Dairy sensitivity etc: If a person is lactose intolerant, then he or she could get bloated.
