Chennai Gold Price Today: 22 Carat Gold Rises Again; Silver Remains Stable

Gold prices in Chennai continue to fluctuate, with jewellery gold witnessing fresh movement today. After recent sharp increases and slight corrections, the price of 22-carat gold has once again moved up.

Today, the price of 22-carat gold per sovereign increased by ₹160, reaching ₹1,16,800. On a per-gram basis, gold rose by ₹80, taking the rate to ₹14,600 per gram.

Earlier, on February 9, gold prices had surged sharply, rising by ₹230 per gram and ₹1,840 per sovereign, touching ₹14,650 per gram and ₹1,17,200 per sovereign. However, on February 10, prices dipped slightly before climbing again today.

Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged for the second consecutive day. One gram of silver is priced at ₹300, while silver bars are being sold at ₹3 lakh.
